The Outer Northern Trade Training Centre (ONTTC) is a trade training centre that provides secondary school students in and around the Northern suburbs the opportunity to enrol and complete vocational training in four trades: Automotive, Building & Construction Carpentry, Electro-technology and Plumbing.

Congratulations to Thomas Patterson
Thomas was awarded Victorian VET Teacher/Trainer of the Year at the Victorian Training Awards earlier this year. On Friday 17 November Thomas was awarded Runner-up at the Australian Training Awards held in Tasmania. Thomas teaches the Certificate II in Building and Construction (Carpentry) Pre-apprenticeship at the Outer Northern Trade Training Centre.
VET PROGRAMS
Vocational education and training (VET) is an important part of many students’ senior secondary education. They can do VET as part of the VCE, including the VCE Vocational Major or the Victorian Pathways Certificate.
By including VET in their senior secondary program, students develop industry-specific knowledge and skills, as well as general skills they need for success in future employment, training, and further education.
